  • 4 large yellow onions peeled and quartered
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper freshly ground

Method
 

Cooking the Onions
  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the boiling water.
  3. Carefully add the quartered onions to the pot.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and let the onions boil for about 30 minutes or until tender.
  5. Once cooked, drain the onions using a colander.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
