Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced thinly
Vegetables
  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 bell pepper red sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add the garlic, ginger, carrots, and bell pepper to the wok. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until wilted.
Combine with Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch mixture. Pour the sauce over the stir-fry and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and serve hot over rice or noodles.
