Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heat-treated flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes if desired.
