Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter natural, unsweetened

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, egg, and peanut butter until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Spoon the dough into a donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown.
  2. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
