Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 2 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced or grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water for cornstarch slurry

Method

Prepare the Sauce

Cook the Beef
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
Add Broccoli
  1. Add broccoli florets to the wok and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
