Hot Dog Components
  • 4 pieces Hot dog sausages Beef, pork, or turkey
  • 4 pieces Hot dog buns Soft and fresh
  • 1 cup Ketchup For serving
  • 1 cup Mustard For serving
  • 1 cup Relish For serving
  • 1 cup Onions Chopped, optional
  • 1 cup Sauerkraut Optional topping

Method
 

Grilling the Hot Dogs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the hot dog sausages on the grill.
  3. Grill the sausages for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and grill marks appear.
  4. While the sausages are grilling, lightly toast the hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
Assembling the Hot Dogs
  1. Remove the sausages and buns from the grill.
  2. Place a grilled sausage in each bun.
  3. Top with ketchup, mustard, relish, chopped onions, and sauerkraut as desired.
  4. Serve immediately on a platter.
