Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or any flavoring of choice
Optional Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or any other mix-ins like fruits or nuts

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  2. If using, add chocolate chips or other mix-ins during the last few minutes of churning.
Freeze
  1. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
