Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Irish cream liqueur
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
Irish Cream Frosting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Brownie Base
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and melted butter until combined.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and Irish cream liqueur, and mix until smooth.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
Make the Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, softened butter, Irish cream liqueur, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies.
  3. Cut into squares and serve.
