  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp orange juice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the buttermilk, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon juice, and orange juice until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
