Ingredients
  

Mousse Base
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1/2 cup limoncello
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 large egg whites at room temperature
Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest for topping
  • 4 mint leaves fresh mint for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Mousse
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, limoncello, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until soft peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the egg whites into the limoncello mixture until fully combined.
  4. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Serve
  1. Once set, garnish each mousse with lemon zest and a mint leaf before serving.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute limoncello with lemon juice and a bit of sugar.
