Ingredients
  

Pickling Brine
  • 1 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon salt kosher or sea salt
Onions
  • 1 large red onion thinly sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Brine
  1. In a bowl, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.
Pickle the Onions
  1. Place the sliced onions in a mason jar. Pour the brine over the onions, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  2. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for best flavor.
