Ingredients
  

Puff Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed if frozen
Filling
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Chopped
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese Crumbled
  • 1 large Egg Beaten
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg Ground
  • Salt to taste Salt
  • Pepper to taste Black Pepper
Topping
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, feta cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
Assemble the Pastries
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
  2. Place a spoonful of the spinach filling in the center of each pastry piece.
  3. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake
  1. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These pastries can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from frozen.
