Ingredients
  

Pie Crust
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour plus extra for dusting
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup ice water more if needed
Filling
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Make the Pie Crust
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and butter. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Add ice water gradually until the dough comes together. Form into a disk and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into the pie dish.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
Bake the Pie
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the pie for 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool before serving.
