  • 1 lb ground beef can substitute with turkey
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 bag tater tots about 32 oz
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the mixed vegetables and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with tater tots in a single layer.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
